We have a vacancy on our Community Employment Scheme for an IT Support Worker

This position is based in The EDI Centre, Longford Town

19.5 hrs per week. CE Rates apply

Duties of this IT Support Worker post include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining all IT equipment including PC’s, Laptops, Projectors and TVs
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  • Setting Up Peripherals such as printers, keyboards, routers, modems, and smart devices
  • Carrying out updates when necessary
  • Setting up accounts on PCs, Laptops and server for new users
  • Clearing content of PC’s and Laptops in line with GDPR guidelines
  • Responsible for carrying out minor repairs and maintenance on IT equipment

The Community Employment Programme (also known as a “CE Scheme”) is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.

Participants on a CE Scheme can take up other part-time work during their placement and this will not affect their CE payment.
